MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Bodensteiner is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for NIAMRRE. She holds a bachelor’s degree in digital media and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in strategic communication from the University of Iowa.
Hellmich is in charge of planning and coordinating NIAMRRE projects, events, schedules, travel arrangements, and team finances. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in entomology from Iowa State University.

Dr. Obbink leads NIAMRRE’s operational management and coordinates stakeholder engagement activities. She held previous roles in the Center for Food Security and Public Health, Iowa Department of Public Health, and the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.

Dr. Plummer is an Associate Professor in Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine at Iowa State University. He is also the current Director of the Midwest AMR Consortium and serves on the AVMA’s Committee on Antimicrobials.

Dr. Boehm is Harlan Vice Chancellor for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska.

Dr. Bernadette Dunham is the former Director of FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine and currently serves as an Advisor for the new FDA One Health Program. Dunham is also a Professorial Lecturer at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, where her focus is on One Health issues.
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY
Dr. Lonnie King was the former Professor and Dean Emeritus for the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University. He is currently a voting member on Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB).
IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY
Dr. Nusser is the Vice President for Research at Iowa State University. Under Nusser’s leadership Iowa State’s sponsored research funding has reached a new record high, supporting projects in both longstanding strengths and emerging areas of inquiry.
Dr. Patel is Chair of the Division of Clinical Microbiology and a Consultant in the Division of Clinical Microbiology and Division of Infectious Diseases. She is also the incoming President of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM).
Dr. Woteki was the former Under Secretary for United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Research, Education, and Economics (REE) mission area, as well as the department’s Chief Scientist.
